Loredana Moro is a Scientific Research Lead and accomplished cancer biologist specializing in energy metabolism, protein dynamics, and mitochondrial signaling in cancer initiation, metastasis, and chemoresistance. She earned her BS, Master’s, and PhD from the University of Bari in biochemistry, molecular biology, and biotechnology. She previously served as a tenured researcher at Italy’s National Research Council and collaborated with leading scientists in the United States. Her pioneering work includes mitochondrial lactate metabolism and BRCA2 involvement in prostate cancer. Currently at MSKCC, she leads innovative research on STAT3 regulation. She has authored 56 publications, with 2,059 citations and an h-index of 26.
