Prof. Dr. Oualid Baghriche | Surface Plasmon Technologies | Research Excellence Award
Prof. Dr. Oualid Baghriche | University Mentouri-Constantine 1 | Algeria
Oualid Baghriche is a Physical Chemist affiliated with Constantine-1 University, holding a Magister degree in Structural Chemistry from Frères-Mentouri Constantine University and a Science Doctorate in Physical Chemistry from Constantine-1 University. During his academic training, he completed several industrial internships that strengthened his applied research expertise. He currently serves as Professor at the University of Constantine 1, Algeria. His scientific expertise focuses on the synthesis and surface properties of antibacterial thin films for environmental applications. His current research is centered on the synergistic coupling of Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs), both among themselves and in combination with biological systems, for the efficient degradation of organic and microbiological pollutants in water, with strong potential for real-world applications. He is the leader of the research team “Photo-coupling and Biodegradation of Organic Pollutants,” which is actively engaged in the development of nanomaterials prepared by sol-gel and sputtering techniques for use in photochemical processes. He teaches General Chemistry, Mineral Chemistry, Kinetic Spectrophotometric Analysis, and Optical Analysis Methods at the Master’s level within the Faculties of Exact Sciences and Technology. He has authored 22 scientific documents, received 706 citations from 490 documents, and holds an h-index of 17. He is also an editorial board member of a reputed journal, an active peer reviewer, and a contributor to national and European international research projects.
