Ms. Faizaa Awad Saif | Spectroscopy for Biology | Best Researcher Award
Hodeidah University | Yemen
Ms. Faizaa Awad Saif is a physicist and researcher with expertise in spectroscopy, materials science, and applied physics. She obtained her Ph.D. in Physics from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, India, where she conducted pioneering research on the characterization and identification of fruit rot fungi using advanced spectroscopic techniques. Her academic foundation also includes a master’s degree in Physics with a specialization in spectroscopy and a bachelor’s degree in Physics from Hodeidah University, Yemen. Ms. Saif has extensive teaching experience at Hodeidah University, where she teaches courses such as Vibrations and Waves, Optics, Laser Physics, and General Physics, and supervises laboratory experiments in modern physics instrumentation. She is proficient in operating analytical instruments, including X-ray diffraction, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, and UV-Visible spectrophotometers. Her innovative approach to spectroscopy has led to a patent submission at the German Patent Office for a system designed to identify fruit root fungi species. Ms. Saif has presented her research at numerous international and national conferences on materials science and nanotechnology. She continues to contribute to scientific advancement through interdisciplinary research connecting physics with biological and environmental applications.
